After delighting myself with a top 10 list of controversial films, I have decided to make one myself, with a very clear point though.
I have always been concerned with other people’s thoughts about me and the external image I want to project on others. I hate to be hated, but I have accepted the reality that it is impossible to be liked by everyone, therefore, why be too concerned about strangers hashtagging me.
‘How To Create A Story (and fail trying)’ is my fifth original short film, about nine minutes long and with a premise I have never treated before: extreme hate.
During the cast, I handled the script to the actors I had shortlisted for the roles, and three out of eight dropped out of the project, commenting harshly on the dialogue used on the script.
To me, that was a good sign, it means this film won’t make you tap on my back with the usual ‘good job’, that a student often receives after sharing his first works. This, will make you feel stuff, and this is exactly what I want to do with each piece of work, make you feel stuff.
